 Daisy's birthday

There was a twelve years old girl named Daisy Brandon

She’s a great artist and also loves it. She has a great artistic mind, and whenever she has an idea she wouldn’t waste a minute and do it. Her favourite drawing skill is freehand painting. She’d never copy any other drawing. Her drawings are always original. 

“Sophie’s Suprise birthday is only two days away Mom, and we still didn’t work on invitations!” she said “So do you think that I could add some of my artwork to them?” she added.

Sofie was her best friend and they have been friends since they were four years old. Daisy couldn’t wait to meet her. 

“Of course, Daisy,” her Mom said. “Thank You, Mom! You’re the best!” she cried while hugging her mom.

Then she went to her room and started working on Sophie’s birthday invites. 

While she was writing she heard a knock on the front door ‘Knock-Knock, Knock-Knock’. As her mom was busy she had to open the door. 

"Excuse Me, this is a letter for Daisy Brandon,” the mailman said.

 “Yes That’s me,” Daisy said 

“Then this is for you,” the mailman said.

“Thank you,” Daisy said politely 

“A letter for me?” Daisy said while opening the letter. She was kinda excited - “Oh my God!” She squealed to her mother and showed her the letter. 

What does it say?!

“Congratulations Daisy!!” her mom said.

“Thank you!” said Daisy “But wait, wait, wait... I never gave my paintings to them, how did they find them?” 

“I don’t know maybe someone like a let’s say mother emailed it to them” Her Mom smiled secretly

 “Oh Thank You, Mom!” Daisy told.

“Hold on. When is it again?” Daisy asked

“Umm 15th April,” Her Mom Said while checking the letter 

“Wait but that’s Sofie’s Birthday. Time?” Her mom responded, “Wait, let me check, at 6:00.”

That’s impossible. That’s when the cake cutting is there. And cake cutting is Sofie’s favourite part. What will I do!?” Daisy said while lying down on the sofa.

“Now calm down Sweetie. I have an idea. 

Can you get my phone to please" Her Mom said 

“Sure,” Daisy said sadly. 

When she got the phone, her mom was searching for something on the cover of the letter. 

“What are you looking for Mom?” Daisy asked 

“Correction, What was I looking for” Mom Said 

“Okay, then what were you looking for?” Daisy said 

“The Museum’s phone number and I found it,” Mom said 

“Why?” Daisy Said 

“So we can ask them if we can celebrate the party there instead. You told even Sofie loved the museum too right?” Mom continued.

Daisy’s face lit up. “That’s a great idea Mom! Quick, make the call!” 

“Hello? Yes, is this the National Museum? 

Ok, my daughter Daisy Brandon, has got a letter from you and she is very excited and she would love to come. But see the problem is that the date of the display is also the date of a very special event. So we were wondering if the event could be held at the museum.

 Oh, that’s great...Yes, she and I will be there to set it up all. Thank You” 

Mom ended the phone call, turned to Daisy and said, “So we have to show up at 5:00 to set it up!” 

“Thank you, Mom!” Daisy hugged her mom with joy.

Daisy quickly hopped on her bike and went to Sofie’s house as fast as she could and told the big news. After hearing this Sofie was over the moon. She was too like Daisy and so Sofie was so happy and then Daisy and Sofie hugged each other.

When all the guests arrived at the Museum, everyone was looking at the paintings before the cake cutting and the games.

 Sofie was looking for the painting that she and Daisy made together and it turned out to be one of the best paintings. But she couldn't find it! 

"Hey Daisy, where's the drawing that we BOTH drew?" Sofie asked Daisy "Oh it's right over - " she stopped "where is it? Let's ask the guards" she continued

"Excuse me, painting no. 4 seems to be missing. Did the people who were putting the paintings forget to put it on?" Daisy asked politely.

"No, the owner, Mr Danny checked each and every one of your paintings ", The guard said 

"Hmmm I think maybe - " she stopped and gasped then checked her phone and quickly called 911. 

"What happened Daisy?"Sofie asked "what happened is that those are the guys who came as 'Most Wanted' and they have a bag so maybe they must've stolen the painting" Daisy replied. The police arrived quickly but when they checked the bag it only had one blank canvas! 

Then poof another painting disappeared "What's happening?!" Daisy exclaimed. “Wait! What if we split up? Jane and Lia can go to the security room and try to see if any other painting disappears and if you see the person trying to steal the painting please inform us.

Then May and Lara can wear one of the guard suits and act as guards and not recognize the criminals but if you see them coming through you know who to call. And lastly, Daisy and I can act like we are just normal kids who DON’T have a phone to check if they were on the ‘Most Wanted ‘ list” Sofie said “Sofie that’s a great idea!” Daisy said cheerfully “okay now follow my lead” she whispered to everyone.

Then she looked at the guard with a cute little puppy dog face and everyone did too!  The guard had to give in and then Daisy, Lara, Sofie and Jane went in only to find an unexpected surprise!
